Kate McCabe Kate is the creator of Sacred Heart Sonora and a plant medicine guide specializing in Bufo Alvarius. She is a MFTT obtaining a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and provides intake and integration services for clients. She believes in pairing talk therapy with medicine and is interested in intersection of psychology, shamanism, and psychedelics. Kate has worked with Bufo Alvarius since 2018, has held space in over 1,300 ceremonies, and completed her training with the medicine over the course of many years with her partner who is a medical doctor and pioneer of Bufo Alvarius with over 20 years of experience. Kate is an advocate of Sonoran Desert Toad Conservation and the ethical collection of medicine. She has spent the last four summers promoting conservation efforts at Rancho Bufo Alvarius in Magdalena de Kino, Sonora. She has appeared in documentaries by VICE, Channel 4, and Strg_f. |
Xixi Xixi is a respected shaman and famous artist from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. His grandmother came from Mazatec lineage and it was with her that Xixi first learned about the sacred medicines of Mexico. Xixi is a pioneer of Bufo Alvarius and has over 40 years of experience with plant medicine. He has a deep connection with the Seri indigenous population of Punta Chueca. His connections assisted in the rebirth of Bufo Alvarius, or OTAC which is the Seri Comcáac word for toad, in Punta Chueca. |
Dr. Gerardo Sandoval Isaac, OB/GYN AKA "Dr. Gerry", is a true pioneer of Toad Medicine and a licensed OB/GYN surgeon practicing in Mexico. He has worked with sacred medicines for over twenty years and specializes in Toad Medicine and Peyote Ceremonies. Dr. Gerry is a shaman and medicine man that has traveled the world sharing sacred medicines with others, including Mike Tyson, celebrities, and politicians. He is passionate about environmental issues surrounding the toad. He stands firmly behind the ethical sourcing of sacred toad medicine. In 2018, he purchased Rancho Bufo Alvarius in Sonora to ethically harvest Toad Medicine. He has written three books on toad medicine, including The God Molecule and The Bufo Medicine Codex and has appeared in VICE's Hamilton's Pharmacopeia and High Society, as well as documentaries from Channel 4 and Strg_f. Dr. Gerry was also the first guest on Mike Tyson's HotBoxin' Podcast. Dr. Gerry is currently focusing on his medical practice of obstetrics and gynecology. His role with Sacred Heart Sonora is centered on the conservation work he does at Rancho Bufo Alvarius and private ceremonies with existing clients. |
